Pretty Much Done

I'm only a page or two shy of my word goal for Psionics Institutes. Except for typing it in, I am done with the first draft.

Whoopie!

Now on to the editing....

I'm going to catch up on my evolution stuff this afternoon. There are some challenges I need to sign up for, some pips I need to make and the RPG class to write a class for.

Mini Progress

I managed about 3 more pages. I still need about 6 to reach my goal. I am starting the revisions this weekend ready or not, and I will work on any added word count I may need while doing revisions on other areas.

Finishing Up

I didn't write anything yesterday, so as of this morning I still needed 12 pages for Psionics Institutes. I have managed 3 pages since then, so I only need 9 now.

Yesterday, I did manage to get my printer working and print out what I have done so far in preperation for revisions.

Magic: The Gathering, a Wizards of the Coast imprint, is accepting novel proposals. I, of course, will be working on that in the coming weeks as well!

Good

I've got today's 6 pages added. I may have a chance to get more done later...

Closer and Closer

I'm getting closer and closer to being done with the first draft of Psionics Institutes. I need 6 pages today, tomorrow and Thursday to reach my word count goal for this project. I already have 3 pages done today, so I'm off to a good start.

Then this weekend I will revise the character templates (a short section) and the introduction (which has already been through the hands of my editor with many changes already completed).

That will leave me the two big sections to revise. I figure one section a week for two weeks. I'm leaving a 2-week window at the end in case I encounter any problems. It is due November 1st, but I will turn it in a little before then (if it is done.)

On other writing fronts, I want to get a few pips done for Evolution and maybe the next RPG class this weekend, if I have time. I also would like to do some prep work for the Nanowimo challenge coming in November. If I get done with time to spare, I will try to get some work done on PSI Emergency in late October or maybe even in November if it doesn't conflict with my Nano book.

So Far Today

I have added 6 new pages to PI today (that's 1500 words). Just 19 more to go before Sept 30th!

I was reading the Harlequin site's messages board. 6-8 month response times! Yuck! If I manage my future goal of a book a month, I could have a real stack going before I hear back on the first novel.

Oh, well! Once I get the door open, I can probably dump the entire load on them.

Current State

I have found a few cable networks that are looking for short films, which I will be submitting Levitation to soon. I also picked about 6 more festivals to submit to. They are considered 'film markets' not just festivals, so 'hollywood' types supposedly come to them looking for new films and talent. All that will be happening in October.

I have only 25 more pages I need for the game book. I hope to get a good number of pages done today. October is my revision month.

I've got myself in a good writing habit, which will definately keep me going after this game book is done. I have several writing projects I'd like to complete before the end of the year. I'd like to get 2 more full length scripts completed, finish up the last chapter or two of a novel I mostly completed a few years ago and submit it, complete a romance novel in the Nanowimo Challenge (national 'write a novel in a month' challenge) and submit it, plus a few other small writing chores (type last revision changes in Complimentary Murder, write a couple short stories for Arebella, submit resume to managers).

I hope this momentum actually carries me to something, not just in circles.
