Ouch!

That was not only a fast rejection, but a rather unflattering one! Changeling press doesn't let any grass grow under their feet, do they? She gave me her 'frank' opinion, which I much prefer to form letters.

I think the part she read and didn't like, was the part I put in specifically to please her based on her suggestions. I think if I scratch them back out, I may have something.

I really don't understand what she could have prefered, based on her comments. She said she kept asking 'why?' as she read the story, but then didn't seem to want the answers because she wanted to me to 'show, not tell', but at the same time, it would have taken me quite a while to show her every detail on this universe, and yet increase the pace. I don't know.

Once I check over it again I'm going to submit my story to another publisher.

Re-Submission Sent In

I sent in the new sysnopsis and partial manuscript of ALWAYS to Changeling Press. It took a lot of fancy formating to get my mac files compatable with the windows computer, but I think I final got it right.

You know, I never have problems with computer files until I am anxious to send in some manuscript, and then everything goes wonky!

Re-writes Done!

I just finshed the re-writes on ALWAYS. YEAH! I printed it out and I will give it a final read-through tonight. I will attempt to send it in tomorrow. Last time I had trouble with the formating and sending the file.

I have to admit, that the changes the editor asked for did indeed make the story better. (In My Opinion) I am quite pleased with the way it came out.

I checked with the Changeling website and they have quite a few 'coming soon' titles listed, so even if they accept it, it may be a while before it is available.

Chapter 3 Edited

I finished the edits on chapter 3 in ALWAYS, my vampire romance. I did a lot of work on chapter 4. The original chapter 4 is almost completely going into the cyber trash can. I am not sure if the story will end in chapter 4 now, or if it will need another chapter to wrap everything up.

Rewrite Halfway Done

I have completed the rewrites through Chapter 2 of my vampire romance ALWAYS. There were 4 original chapters, but this may change. I'm typing in the changes I've made so far, and then I'll tackle Chapter 3. I wanted to be done with the rewrites today, so we'll see how much I can get done.
