Chapter done!

It came out to 1000 words on the nose. The next chapter I think I'll write will be the one that continues this scene, even though it comes a few chapters done the line. I don't want to loose the tone.

450 words so far...

... in this chapter of PSI Emergency. It is flowing much better than I expected after a false start on this chapter a few months ago. I think the break while I worked on Dead Sea Murder may have allowed the story to 'rest' a little. I had been going so fast before that I felt I was going to run out of things to say.

blockbuster

I was at a writer's block on how to handle the current chapter of PSI Emergency. I think I've found a way to tweak the plot to make the story do what it needs to. I'll try to write the chapter now and see if it flows.

Back on track

After a momentary lapse in good writerly judgement, I was considering writing a YA or middle grade book for Llewellyn. Luckily the moment has past. I don't have kids and I don't see myself as a children's author.

Plus, I forgot that I am midway through my SciFi novel PSI Emergency, which was put on hold when Rogue Publishing called. It'll take a bit of doing to get me back into the storyline.

Back to Blogging

I've heard back from Rogue Publishing. The publisher says the revisions are looking good. She's got an artist working on the cover. She plans to have the game in play-test in May and it has a release date in June. Cool!

I'm preparing a query letter to find out if Avalon Books has received the mystery novel I sent them last fall. I'm also going to catch up on making submissions of my short stories. I have almost nothing on my blackhole list. (See my website at http://www.angelfire.com/md/meadowlark/writer.com to find out about my blackhole list.)

I heard back from the lady at the MS Society about the fundraiser anthology I suggested. She says someone else is now in charge of special projects and he'll get back with me in the future.
