Chapter 27 done

It ran about 1200 words. Very slow going. I hope the next chapters go quicker.

672 words

Gosh, I'm tired. I'm almost done with this chapter, though.

Thank the Goddess.

Creeping slowly

577 words. Man, it would be easier to climb up the side of a shear cliff barehanded than to write sometimes. I like what I'm getting though, so I'll keep inching along.

463 words

Plugging onward one word at a time. This chapter is funnier than I expected. It'll make a nice foil to the tension to come.

A tiny start

Just 207 words into Chapter 27. Not much of a start, but every little bit helps. Starting a chapter is always slow work until the tone is set.

Reviewing the outline

I just reread the outline and the next 5 chapters are all build ups for the big scenes to come. I like to break down the chapters into chunks of 3-5 if possible. It is easier to work through the novel in short leaps than it is to think about it as a massive whole.

A little research

I've been collecting a list of Science Fiction and thrillers involving psychics/telepaths in hopes of pin-pointing which publisher to eventual approach. I know I must not read these books now, or they will make me question the tone and pacing of my book. Once the first draft is done and 'in bed', then I'll risk reading them.

At present I have 31,458 words of an estimated 70,000 words for PSI Emergency.

Chapter 26 done

Writing for me sometimes is like running in knee-high mud. Each step is an agony and a challenge, but when I look back, I am proud of the ground, however little, I have managed to cover in such difficult terrain.

474 words, and slow going

I'm deeply tired tonight but I like what I'm getting. I'm still plugging away on Chapter 26 of PSI Emergency.
