Up and Running

The new blog is up and running. I have entries set to automatically update the story until about next Tuesday. I also went and did some search engine submissions so that the new blog will start getting traffic.

It is time to set a side my obsession with e-mail, waiting for Steve Jackson Games to get back with me. I am going to start working on the sample story for Fantasy Flight Games with gusto. The Traveller's Log project is fun and lightweight. I don't see it as interfering with my other writing projects, and it will make me feel like I am actually accomplishing something since it is 'published' merely by being on the web.

Doing My Own Thing

I started getting bored waiting for something to come up so I could write, so I started a project I've been toying with. It is a BLOG written from the point of view of a character. Her name is Isis Claybourne and she live is the year 1120 of the Third Imperium, which translates to the year 5641 by Earth standards. You'll have to read her Traveller's Log to learn more about her. It really is a cross between a soap opera and a novel in journal form. Tune in to her adventures. I hope to post something new there everyday, so you follow her journey in 'real time'.

dreams

This morning I had a dream that I was approved to write for a publishing company. It could have been either Steve Jackson Games or Fantasy Flight Games from the dream elements.

This is the second dream in a week along those lines. I hope it is precognition and I get approved to write a project soon.

Update

Yesterday I mailed the sample for Wizards of the Coast. Their guidelines say they take up to 20 weeks to respond. That'll put the response in April next year.

Moving on...

Next I am preparing to write something to use as a sample for Fantasy Flight Games. I have to get a feel for their style before writing for them.

No word from Steve Jackson Games.

Moving On

No word still from Steve Jackson Games on the proposal.

I have not been doing nothing waiting for it either. I have done some preliminary work on a website that will sell games and fantasy items. Writing-wise I am going to finish revisions on the sample for Wizards of the Coast and mail it Monday. I'm also getting some background material to use to write a sample for another gaming company that is going to publish novels based on their games.
