Wouldn't you know it

I write on a Mac at work during my freetime. The computer I have at home is a non-compatable Windows. The Mac at work has something wrong with the internet connection and I can't download my completed files to my publisher. Darn! I guess I'll have to go to Kinko's again. Poop!

Revisions, revisited

I completed the first (and easier) of the revisions I need to do. I'll work on the harder one tonight and tomorrow morning.

Planning the revisions

There are two main elements to this round of revisions. The easiest is a few minor changes in the chapter about the murder investigation. The harder one involves adding some general information on all minor NPCs. The good news is that I think I can get this done and sent in by Sunday morning.

PLAYTEST!

Dead Sea Murder goes to playtest on Monday. Whoo hoo!

The publisher wants a few more revisions done before Monday. EEEKKK!

Ugh!

An attempt at rewriting that tough chapter in PSI Emergency crashed and burned. I'm going to try yet another POV character and this time throw in a fist fight to spice it up.

Lately, when I lay down to go to sleep a scene will begin to play in my head and I just have to write it down. I'm missing a lot of sleep but gaining a lot of interesting scenes that I may be able to use down the line, especially if White Wolf gives me a chance. Today's scene was regarding vampires, one of White Wolf's big genres.

Changeling samples completed

I have them all printed out and 'cooling' in a folder. I really like what I have and I hope White Wolf gives me the chance to write for them.

I won't get a chance to work on the PSI Emergency novel tonight, but I'm still pleased with the progress I made.

Revision done!!!!!!!!

The last of the revisions for Dead Sea Murder have been sent to Rogue Publishing. Wohooo!!!!

I hope she doesn't want any more changes. Whew!

Proposal in 'cold storage?'

I got a response from Steve Jackson Games for a proposal I sent them a year ago. The source book called "City Folks", which I sent in a proposal for, has been put in 'cold storage', according to the mass-mailed e-mail I recieved. This means that it and many other projects that are not yet begun will be put aside for the time being while they focus on what is 'in the pipeline'. That's OK. I've got other projects I'd rather work on right now anyway.

Revisions

The newly added FACTS ON BRIEF player's handout has been written, double-checked and submitted to Rogue for Dead Sea Murder. Now I just have to do the reference section. Yeah!

Update

Over the weekend I managed to outline the last revisions for Dead Sea. Getting them typed and e-mailed is on the agenda for tonight.

I've read all the source material I have for the White Wolf games, and have picked Changeling: The Dreaming as the one I will submit to. (Yes, I know I dangled my participle. Consider it local color.) I wrote two sample scenes, one dark and one light. I started a nonfiction sample to include as well. I have the draft of the query done. Once I finish and print out the submission I will let it 'cool' for a few days before double-checking it. That is also on the to-do list for tonight.

More mental Greco-Roman wrestling over the current writer's block on PSI Emergency this weekend. I have been zooming in on better and better ways to handle the current scene, by mixing it with the last chapter. Writing/rewriting rounds out my goals for tonight.
