Happiness Is Writing

Well, editing too. I just completed the edits for Chapter 9 in Her Dangerous Promise. I hope to have Chapter 10 completed by the end of the weekend, and the novel completed by the end of next week.

On top of that, I got my new cover from Venus Press for Riding Dennis. Whoo-wee the guy on the cover is hot! I'll post the image soon on my home page. You are going to love it!

Surviving and Thriving

I survived my three tests, and I know I have As on two of them and either an A or B on the other one. Man, I can't wait to be done with school.

I just mailed off the contract to Venus Press for Riding Dennis yesterday. I filled out and returned the cover art form today. I think they will publish it very soon, based on the encouragement the editor gave in her e-mail asking me to send in the forms quickly.

So, now that school is under control for a minute, I can get back to editing Chapter 9 in Her Dangerous Promise. I have only managed to cover 1 1/2 pages in that chapter so far.

I am also getting high speed internet in a week. (Cool beans!) and I am thinking of doing a podcast about romance (writing them, reading them and market updates)

Happy Publishing News

Venus Press, who published my story ALWAYS, just accepted a really short story of mine for their "Confessions to Venus" flash fiction line. The story is titled "Riding Dennis". It is extremely hot involves an older woman, younger man fling. (She owns a horse farm and he's the stable hand, hence the title.)

The editor said in her e-mail: "I really enjoyed this steamy decadent piece!! Nicely done."

Hee! Hee! I'm happy. :-)

She included the contract, which is 4000 words long, for my 3000 word long story. I'm signing it and mailing it in today.

Chapter 8 edited

Some pages only had a few changes. Other pages were tossed or almost completely rewritten. Long, brand-new segments were added. What a mess.

Chapter 9 and 10 complete the middle section of the book. The end-game begins in Chapter 11.

Whosh! I hope I get done by the end of the month!
