First Day on Writing Vacation

Today is the first day of my vacation from work. I am serious about finishing Psionics Institutes in the next 9 days. Have have banned myself from Evolution for the most part, and from video games and from which all tend to eat up my time. So far I have done a lot of note taking and research for my current subsection and even wrote 250 words (1 page). I need this section to come as close to 13 pages as possible to complete this section.

Shaping Up

Now that I have everything written so far typed and formated, the current section only now needs 3563 more words. I'm going to work on the last subsection and see where I stand. I have a short list of other items I can add if needed.

On a related topic, my David and Goliath word count is looking better now too. I am now only short 4375 words for this month so far. (Every day adds another 1000 words to be dispatched.)

A Little Bit More

I managed to add another page to the introductory subsection of my current section of the game book. I may still need to add stuff here if anything comes to mind.

That leaves me with 1 final subsection, which does actually have the potenital to run long, which it will have to if it is going to pull me up the the proper word count.

I am pleased with my progress for today. So far I have reached the 1000 word mark, which is my daily goal. Now I need to make up some ground for the past several days, during which I did far less well word count wise.

Back in the Saddle

I have a head cold. Blech! I did nothing writing-wise yesterday at all.

Today, I managed 750 words so far on a sub-section I set aside until I could think of how I wanted to finish it.

My current section is in danger of being under the word count. I have to finish another partial section and a whole other section before I can find out for sure where I stand. I am starting to come up with ideas to include to help add to the word count, mostly in the form of character quotes.

A Few Hits

6 people have had my new logline show up in searches. One downloaded my resume. No one has gone for a script yet. COME ON PEOPLE!

I need to get back to work and quit worrying about it for a while.

Getting Serious

I had a dream that I was able to leave my crummy day job to work as a screenwriter. This has renewed my dedication. I went and updated my posting on I only have like a month and a half left on that listing.

I REALLY need to get the game book done so I can focus on the scriptwriting and short film producing that I hope will lead me out of the yucky office duldrums and into a creative field in which I can blossum.

With that in mind, I am getting my writing out and I'm going to start working on it. I have actually been making some steady, if slow, progress. I have reached the half-way mark in the required word count. I will be particularly busy for today and a little less so tomorrow. Then I should have about 1 1/2 weeks of relative calm in which to cover some serious ground.
